The new Duck Duck Goose store in Cape Town is home to a curated collection of local fashion and lifestyle brands

Born out of a love for people, friends and inspiring South African design, founder Daniel Sher of fashion brand, Good Good Good, says of the collection: “They are all brands owned by designers I deeply admire and respect. Through sharing one local retail space, we all come up together.”

The 13-square-metre store allowed interior designer, Adri van Zyl, to put her strength of carefully-considered spatial design to good use, while the playful store name allowed illustrator and designer Kgabo Mamatje and artist Koos Groenewald to develop perfectly quirky visual branding and in-store design.
Aptly referred to as the “golden ducklings” (until graduating to “goose” status when purchased by a customer), the store is stocked with select ready-to-wear garments from Beau Beau, Beautiful Boys, Good Good Good, Rich Mnisi, Sindiso Khumalo and Thebe Magugu; skincare and body products by Umu Ora, accessories and sunglasses by The Paint Company and ; unique upcycled mohair rugs by the Nolusizo Weavers and an eclectic South African and African record collection by The Other Records.
