Co-founder & managing director

Pieter Bruwer

Passionate about the future of South Africa, and an entrepreneur at heart, Pieter co-founded LOOKBOOK in 2020 after a successful 23-year career in educational publishing. With his focus now on the creative sector and the growth of our cultural economy (when not doting on his Italian greyhound daughter, Hannah), Pieter is fine-tuning his passion for good design, intriguing architecture and innovative aesthetics.

Commercial editor

Greer Krige

A House and Leisure veteran, Greer has an incredible knowledge of the decor and design industry. In her previous life, she majored in housing and project management. At LOOKBOOK, Greer manages all commercial matters – from strategic partnerships and distribution to shaking up the traditional magazine model – with a talent for finding promotional solutions that make partner brands shine. A mum to two little girls, two pups, 3 fish, and a gazillion plants, Greer gets excited about decor, art, travel, and wine, not necessarily in that order.

Market editor

Murray King

Murray’s background spans linguistics, design, retail, and the arts, which comes in handy for the mix of tasks he tackles day to day. He has a keen interest in interiors, food, photography, colour, and craft – especially when sustainability is in the mix. Whether he’s editing copy, retouching images, updating the studio’s online presence, or helping out on a shoot, he approaches each task with an eye for what works. Known for the occasional musical interlude and a relaxed take on collaboration, he helps keep things moving with a good dose of humour.

Co-founder & creative director

Charl Francois Edwards

As the co-founder of LOOKBOOK, Charl brings with him over 10 years’ experience in the decor, retail, branding and publishing industries. A self-confessed magazine addict, Charl has been instrumental in the relaunch of the iconic House and Leisure magazine, acting as Editor-in-Chief and all-round creative guru.

Studio manager

Lisiwe Qukwana

Our studio runs so smoothly because Lisiwe is at the helm. She is our go-to for everything relating to HR, finance, IT and pretty much anything else. Lisiwe may seem laid-back (thanks to her sunrise yoga sessions, cold ocean dips, and tranquil hikes) but she’s a stickler for a schedule, so submit a tardy invoice or late payment at your peril.

Designer

Jess Kempton-Jones

A multifaceted creative with a background working as a brand designer, crafting visual identities for brands across the design industry, Jess’s fascination with space, design, and fashion is evident in everything she does. Born into a family of entrepreneurs in the world of print, she’s a self-confessed print aficionado and a dedicated collector of paper ephemera from her travels. When she’s not doing design at LOOKBOOK, Jess is an avid antiquing enthusiast who loves a ‘trinketeering’ escapade at Milnerton Market. She also has a deep love for travel, food, and the joy of good company, with a soundtrack of her favourite music (and musicals) playing in the background.

Project manager

Robyn Collyer

Robyn has spent her career shaping stories through publishing, marketing, and brand strategy. With experience spanning international markets, she has worked on bespoke periodicals, guided creative campaigns, and helped bring brands to life through thoughtful storytelling and design. A lover of words, fine art, and beautiful craftsmanship, she has a particular fondness for thoroughbred horses, strong coffee, afternoon tea, and the occasional well-aged whisky. Having lived and worked abroad, she appreciates the charm of old-world traditions just as much as fresh, new ideas. At LOOKBOOK, she brings a mix of strategy and creativity to every project, ensuring that each piece – much like a good story or a fine vintage – leaves a lasting impression.

Style director

Storm Ross

A spirited aficionado of all things beautiful with a penchant for botanical wonders and the intricate details of nature, Storm finds endless inspiration in the organic world. She has collaborated closely with top decor brands, lending her keen eye to art direct their visual campaigns. This experience has honed her appreciation for exquisite interiors and the art of ethical design, celebrating handmade craftsmanship with a discerning touch. Storm’s journey is a delightful blend of elegance and creativity, always seeking to unveil the essence of beauty in every form.

Content creator

Jana Human

If curious creative Jana isn’t perched at a café table with her coffee and pastry, you’re likely to find her on a mountain hike or browsing a cozy ‘winkeltjie’, deli, or thrift shop. Her special skill? Putting ‘bits and bobs’ together in playful ways – whether in a reel, short film, collage, zine, thrifted outfit, story, or something delicious whipped up in her kitchen. Jana puts her degree in communication design to work as LOOKBOOK’s chief content creator, which keeps her on the lookout for all kinds of exciting goings-on in our creative ecosystem.
