supermarket

lemon fresh

Cape Town photographer, Alix-Rose Cowie, takes a look at the supermarket version of lemons

The cleansing power of lemons sells everything from nail polish remover to air freshener.

It cuts grease and smells good.

The zing of zest or the scent of a squeeze is a fragrant trick we buy into.

The ubiquitous aroma masks a multitude of nasties in the cleaning aisle. Natural vs chemical.

Astringent, detergent, anti-bacterial, acid, spotless, sparkling, lemon-fresh.

Spray, wipe, bleach and erase.

When life gives you lemons… deep breathes, deep clean.
