The collaboration originated from personal friendships among all involved my team, myself, and Valentina, a floral artist now based in Paris. During a social evening, we decided to collaborate for Furniture Week, eventually connecting with my business partner Annette from SOOK, with whom I have worked extensively on Herringbone.
‘The Art Deco launch made me realised that Magic does exist in collaboration or in alignment.’

That week was intensive we completed the downstairs refurb, restyled everything, built multiple sculptures, and learned new techniques from each other. An incredible light installation, commissioned by Sumendra Chetty and executed by Philip van Heerden, projected onto the building’s exterior, enticing the senses from the moment of entry.
Importantly, the vision was made possible by Sarah, the owner of Herringbone, whose exceptional trust, passion for design, and eye for avant-garde experiences tied it all together (while obsessively listening to Bad Bunny).
‘It felt like we were part weavers, part sculptors, coaxing these gentle beasts to life on site at the Herringbone showroom. What stood out was the joy of collaborating with so many fellow makers, learning from Valentina, and seeing these sculptures come to life, each taking on a thread of the personality of every hand it passed through.’
